Gemma Masriera
Gemma Masriera was born in Barcelona in 1976. Coming from a highly artistic Spanish family, her grandfather was the famous Art Nouveau jewellery designer Lluis Masriera, whose premises were in a Gaudi building in Barcelona. The business continues today and is regarded as the foremost in Spain. Gemma studied art at the Escola d’Arts i Oficis Barcelona and at the University of Barcelona additionally studying piano and music at the Conservatori Superior Liceu in the same city. Following this she studied oil painting at the Universita Lorenzo di Medici in Florence.

To further her art career she has travelled and worked extensively, all the while enhancing and perfecting her work. This has resulted in a series of visionary paintings which show a great understanding in the use of strong colour. They depict scenes from her journeying in London,Tuscany, Morocco and the Mediterranean. Gemma is currently living and working in London.
